My name is Ayah, and I come from a Middle Eastern background—originally Palestinian but born and raised in Jordan, where food has always been at the heart of togetherness. Whether for special occasions or simply spending quality time with family, sharing a meal has always symbolized connection and love. Middle Eastern cuisine is rich in flavors, combining diverse cooking techniques with a delicate balance of herbs and spices.
Inspired by my grandmother’s remarkable cooking, I began experimenting in the kitchen to explore what I could create—it became my personal creative outlet. As a child, I was fascinated by how her hands worked to create such wonderful and delicious dishes. To this day, I believe her food is unmatched, and it’s her cooking that sparked my deep admiration for flavors and inspired me to pursue food as a career.
When I began cooking professionally in February 2020, I discovered a deep sense of passion and flow whenever I was in the kitchen, which led me to pursue it as my career. The culinary world is truly an endless adventure, filled with infinite possibilities—from unique combinations of flavors to exploring diverse ingredients and techniques. I’m excited to be exploring this boundless path and constantly discovering new ways to create.
I created OUIAÏA as a space to explore and express myself through food without limitations. Through this project, I hope to connect with people who share similar interests, showcase my work, and build a sense of community—all while doing what feels most like home to me.
